Canning

I decided to do some canning this year and for me, ended up doing quite a bit.  I did 46 jars of pears, like 30 peaches, 24 of applesauce and 24 tomato sauces.  This is the boys helping with tomato sauce one night!

First Food

This little one had...

Her first food yesterday.  I decided to give her bananas mixed with milk.  She seemed to really like it.  What do you think?

First Day of School 2011

Kade started 2nd grade this year!  He feels like it is no big deal.  He put a little too much detangler in his hair this morning so it was super cute!  He also knocked out his other front tooth going down a water slide the Friday before so he has no front teeth these days!  Jeff started his last year at preschool and is pretty stoked to get to play with his friends.  He gets pretty bored these days with Kade gone all day!

5 Months

Morgan is 5 months old already!  She is rolling over both ways, grabbing everything, babbling and is so much fun to have around.  Jeff is ALWAYS bugging her.  If he sees her he stops whatever he is doing to go bug her.  He cannot resist!  I can understand why but it is super annoying sometimes....

MONTANA 2011

 Not the cutest picture of our fam but it will do.  It was nice that we could all be together this year!  We had a lot of fun this year!  Everyone in the Ulmer family was able to come up this year except Kris.  We all stayed for a week.  LJ built a boat this year and was able to float it down the Missouri.  We played games, played in the water, fished, had camp fires and helped stain the cabin.  It was good times!  Love to just hang out in our pjs all day and eat junk and drink soda!

 Kade had a lot of fun playing in the creek this year.  He improved the damn in front of the cabin with the help of Kari, Kody, Jack and Ryan.  By the time we left the water was about thigh high.

 Ready for ride to the Big Hole!  All the kids loved to take rides in the Rhino.  If anyone got on pretty much every kid tried to jump in and go!

4 Months!

Morgan is already 4 months old!  She is such fun to have in our family!  She has been chewing on her hands a lot and drooling lately.  She likes to kick things and grab and put things in her mouth.  She smiles all the time and giggles when she thinks you are funny!  The boys love her and are more interested in her now that she is starting to be a little more exciting!

Tooth Fairy was at The Thompson House

Kade lost 2 teeth last week.  His bottom left he pulled out using a blanket manuver on the stairs and his top left tooth himself after a lot of coaxiing from the parents.

America's Favorite Past Time

Kade and Jeff played PAL baseball this year. Kade was #7 on the Twins. He played right field, catcher, and some short stop.  He was a very solid hitter.  His coach pitched to him.  His batting average ended up at .864.  He had 5 RBI's and the last game he got all 3 outs one inning.  His coach kept stats by the way.  Jeff played tee-ball on the Royals and was #9.  He batted last on his team so he got a home run every time up to bat.  His coach said he was the fastest 4 year old he'd ever seen.  By the middle of the season he had some fancy behind the back baton twirling ritual going as he went up to bat that was pretty funny!

Dairy Dash

During the Meridian Dairy Days they have a bike race for the kids at Meridian Speedway.  Kade loves races, cars, etc so he had to do this!  First thing they did was decorate their bikes.  Then they all had a parade around the track and then the races began.  Jeff raced with Dylan in the first heat and then Kade and Anna raced in the second heat.  They had a lot of fun.  Kade really wanted to compete but the other kids were older, bigger and had bigger bikes that took much less effort.  He was pretty bummed about that.  Anyhow, I think we are going to have to do this again next year.  It was really fun!

3 Months!!!!

Last Day of School 2011

Kade finished first grade this year.  He had a great year.  His teacher was Ms. Carruthers.  She was awesome.  Kade really excelled this year.   He learned to read and can read anything now.  He had challenge spelling tests almost every week and always seemed to get all the words correct.  We are so proud of him!

Jeff had Miss Erin at Harmony Early Learning this year.  He also had  a great year.  I think his favorite things at school were the costumes (especially the astronaut) and playing outside with his friends.  His teacher said she really liked Jeff because he would cuddle up to hear during story time!
