We had out first snow and the boys had to get out and play even though it is like 7 degrees outside. They didn't care one bit! They like to go over to this drainage swell and play on the sleds. Afterwards we had to have some hot cocoa! Lots of fun! We can't wait for some more snow!

Thanksgiving

We went to my sister Katie's house for Thanksgiving but I didn't take any pictures. We had a ton of fun and they were great hosts to much of my family. We had a great meal and I made my first apple pie from scratch that turned out pretty dang good. The boys did some shooting and the girls did some shopping. It was a great holiday. Kade had his Thanksgiving feast at school last Wednesday and made these 2 costumes. Ryan and Jeff put up the Christmas lights and needed some hot cocoa to warm up. A little male bonding time!

Kade Turns SiX!!!
Kade had his birthday a few weeks ago! His birthday is always one big party! It is so close to Halloween that it makes for a lot of excitement! This year we decided to celebrate with the fam on Halloween so we could trick or treat afterwards all together. The kids really had a good time. Kade went through his first haunted house. After he said he never wanted to go through one again because it was so stupid. I think he might be like me and not really like the scary stuff! Kade is getting so big and mature these days. I have really enjoyed watching him mature over the past few years. He is such a smart, sensitive kid. We are so truly blessed to have him in our lives. I can't wait to see what his future holds! I can't believe that he is six!!

Breakfast of champions chosen by Kade! (Warning: I do not recommend donuts for breakfast! It got a little crazy after this breakfast!)

Bowling with friends.

Jeff rocked the bowling! I think my family might have to join a league someday! My boys are bowlers!

Fall Harvest Party!
This year we grew our own pumpkins at my mom's. We were so excited about it we decided to make a night of it! We went to Linder farms to let the kids play and feed the animals and then we headed back to my parents to harvest the pumpkins. We had like 26 of them!! They were big and beautiful! We had some warm food and a bonfire! It was so much fun!

Yo ho, ho, a pirates life for me!

The boys have been having too much fun playing pirates around the house lately! The sword fighting is getting a little old for mom but they love it! I guess since they are playing together I should just be thankful! Good times!

Fun Times...

The Gardners took me and the boys boating a few a weeks ago and we had a BLAST! Kade was able to try water skiing for the first time and did awesome. He also rode he tube with Abby and had so much fun! Jeff had to get in on the fun so he and I took a ride. He really liked to do over the bumps! They were so fun to hang out with. Their girls are pros skiing on the boom! The weather and water was great! So great that the adults had to ski it up a little too! What a fun last of summer treat!

We went to the zoo for a little end of summer trip with my mom and Kori and her kids. We had to see the lions, tigers and bears! The kids had a lot of fun seeing the animals and running around. The new safari area is really cool! The kids really liked the giraff and lions!

First Day of Kindergarten!
Kade had his first day of kindergarten this past week. I think he was a little nervous even though he wouldn't admit it. Mornings are a little rough around our house but overall things went well. Dad helped out for the first few days. He was so excited to wear his new backpack and shoes (which both light up- I'm sure teachers love this stuff!. After school that day we took him to ice cream at TCBY. His teacher is Mrs. Matthews. I think she is going to be great! I know Kade is going to be a great student!
