Christmas Eve
We usually spend Christmas Eve at my parents and spend the night. It is pretty crazy but I love it!! I love when all the family gets together. We have dinner and hang out. This year instead of reading the Christmas story out of the Bible we did a nativity program with the kids. They all dressed up and came in at their part. We read scriptures and sang songs. It went well for our first year and I know it will only get better. The kids got to open their pj's and gift from each other too. Christmas Eve was fun this year with Kade because he was really into it and totally BELIEVES. He thought he heard Santa's sleigh and everything. The adults stayed up really late talking and screwing around. I had a great night. My parents are great hosts! We love them!

McCall
My family went to McCall for a few days before the holidays. I didn't really get any pictures but my sister's did so I'm going to have to get some to update this post. Anyhow, we had fun just hanging out, playing games, sledding and swimming. My kids were exhausted at the end of every night which is a rarity if you know my kids. Jeff was so excited to swim. He wanted to swim by himself so badly that he took off one time down the side of the pool and just jumped in solo!! Ryan was there to save him but he had no fear! Kade got to make sugar cookies with Grandma Jan and play Kari's Wii so he was quite entertained. It was nice to get away and spend some time with the fam. Thanks Mom and Dad for everything, we really appreciate all your efforts and thanks to Kari and LJ for sharing your timeshare with us!!!

Eagle's Live Nativity
We went to Eagle's Live Nativity this year with the Thompson's and actually ran into the Madarieta crew when we got there. It was pretty crazy really. So Kade got to have some fun with Anna, Dylan, Myles and Laney too. The nativity was really neat. It was nice to have the kids get to see the real reason for Christmas live. Kade and Myles wanted to give baby Jesus a gift and so Emily gave Myles a dollar and they went right up to Mary and gave it to her. The spirit was wonderful and we had a nice night going there.

Preschool Christmas Program

Kade is having another great year in preschool this year. His teacher this year is Miss Brooke. There Christmas program this year was wonderful. Kade is learning a lot about music. They had a tear jerker song at the end that just got me. I can't believe I am turning into one of "those" moms!!

NAPA Car
Uncle Steven brought Kade and Jeff a surprise on evening. They were very excited and had a lot of fun playing in it and sleeping in it for many nights. Kade had to draw in all the gages, steering wheel and stick shifts because it had to have it! Thanks Uncle Steven!!

Domesticating Girls...
Last Friday my mom and sisters and I spent all day canning applesauce. It had been a long time since we had tried to do this but all went fairly well. We canned like 48 quarts! I was very proud of us! Thanks mom for teaching us the ropes!! Katie came down to join the fun and we got to spend some time with cute little Max. He has changed so much since I last saw him and is quite the ham. Kris came with Katie and so we also got the hang with him. It was great to have the whole fam around! Thanks for coming guys!
Some of the finished product!

Kade's 5th Birthday!!
Kade had his 5th birthday last week! It was quite the eventful week at our house. I can't beleive he is 5 years old!! We had a family party on his birthday and he had a friend party over the weekend. Both were very fun! Kade's favorite part was the presents which he got a lot of and really nice ones. Thank you everyone for sharing the day with us and thank you so much for the presents! Also, I want to take a poll of which birthday cake everyone thinks is best. I want to give a shout out to Kari for helping with the friend party! I really appreciate it!!

Happy Halloween!!
We had a very exciting Halloween! We started off by going to my dad's office to trick or treat and get a cupcake. I made both of the boys take a nap before hand and that is why Jeff looks like a dead head! It was very fun and they got tons of candy just there but we still had more to do. We went to Grandma and Grandpa Thompson's and to Aunt Kassie and Stevens to trick or treat too! After that we went to Megan and Brett's for pizza and trick or treating again in the neighborhood! The kids were great! Jeff even got the hang of it! Kade and Maddie were pretty much pros! They got tons of candy and were pretty tuckered out by the end of the night! Fun times!!

Scary! Scary!
Last friday we got our carpets cleaned. I had a lot of stuff stacked on Kade's bed so I had him sleep in Jeff's room. Saturday morning I awoke to Kade and Jeff running into my room giggling. I realized it was Kade and Jeff immediately asked Kade how Jeff got down here? Kade told me that he stacked all the pillows up and pushed Jeff out of the crib and that he just did a little dive!! Needless to say we had to have a long chat with Kade on why we don't get Jeff out of the crib. I find myself wondering how kids make it through these things without getting seriously hurt!

More Pumpkin Patch
Last Friday we went back to the pumpkin patch with the Thompson's. My kids had fun! They love the pumpkin patch and would go back again and again. They got to ride the tractor train this time which they both loved! I think baby McKenzie had the most fun though, what do you think?
PEACE OUT!
